This feels to us like the most significant election of our lifetimes. The outcome will likely be decided by just a handful of states. And make no mistake: attempts are being made right now to unfairly tip the playing field and influence the vote—from voter intimidation to outright misinformation.*

STATES OF CHANGE—a fundraiser supporting forty-two organizations fighting voter suppression in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—is offering $150 prints by over 150 artists. See link below for details.

Over 100 artists and estates have donated works for a fundraiser supporting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.* Presented on Platform.art—an initiative developed by David Zwirner—participating galleries include Regen Projects, Jack Shainman, Gladstone, Lehmann Maupin, Petzel, and Marian Goodman, as well as Gemini G.E.L.

50 + 50 — CHOUINARD TO CALARTS

50 + 50—A CREATIVE CENTURY FROM CHOUINARD TO CALARTS is an artist-led scholarship endowment initiative and exhibition series anticipating the fiftieth anniversary of California Institute of the Arts and the centenary of Chouinard Art Institute, which was founded in 1921.

Fifty artist alumni will participate in the five-year program. The first group of artists includes John Baldessari, Anne Collier, Laddie John Dill, Joe Goode, Naotaka Hiro, Tony Oursler, Gala Porras-Kim, Stephen Prina, Barbara T. Smith, and Carrie Mae Weems. 

The inaugural group of works were on view this spring at Redcat, and can now be seen in the Frieze Viewing Room, the virtual gallery space of Frieze New York 2020.

Wolfgang Tillmans, Between Bridges, and several dozen international artists have joined together to sell posters to benefit art spaces, nightclubs, music venues, and bars at risk of closing for good because of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
