Los Angeles Philharmonic music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel will conduct a drastically reworked LA BOHÈME at the Opéra National de Paris through December 21. after which date Manuel López-Gómez picks up the baton.
Director Claus Guth has set Puccini’s story of Mimi, Rodolfo, Musetta, and Marcello at the end of the twenty-first century, staging a futuristic vision where the action of the drama takes place “as a flashback to a lost time.”*
