Blake Gopnik will join Olivia Laing and moderator Charlie Porter for a conversation about Andy Warhol, the subject of Gopnik’s massive new biography and the Tate Modern retrospective that opens this week.

PALIMPSEST—an exhibition in Ireland about how temporal connections alter definitions of place—features the work of Nicole Eisenman, Zoe Leonard, Hilary Lloyd, Charlotte Prodger, Martine Syms, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, and Andrea Zittel.

Curated by Charlie Porter, the show will include a new text by Olivia Laing, author of the novel Crudo (2018), and The Trip to Echo Spring (2014), a memoir about writers and alcohol.

BOOK OF JOY

Pilot Press founding editor Richard Dodwell, DJ Honey Dijon, and Charlie Porter will launch OVER THERE: A QUEER ANTHOLOGY OF JOY this week at Printed Matter.

Eileen Myles, Hilton Als, Wayne Koestenbaum, AA Bronson, Olivia Laing, Mary Manning, and Alex Foxton are among the volume’s forty-eight contributing writers, artists, and performers.

RICHARD DODWELL — NOT HERE

Pilot Press—a new independent out of London—launches its imprint in New York this week with the publication of the second edition of NOT HERE: A QUEER ANTHOLOGY OF LONELINESS, with a new introduction by Sarah Schulman.

Editor, artist, and Pilot founder Richard Dodwell has brought together thirty-one artists, poets, performers, and writers for this volume, including Olivia Laing, Colby Keller, Marc Hundley, Monique Mouton, Timothy Thornton, Alice Goodman, Charlie Porter, and David Hoyle.

Join Dodwell at the Printed Matter reception, where he will be joined by writer Tom Eubanks and various contributors for readings and conversation.
