TWIN PEAKS: THE ENTIRE MYSTERY

photo 2

Last night I attended the premiere of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery, a DVD collection of deleted and alternate scenes from the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, at the Vista Theater in Los Angeles. David Lynch introduced the evening with a little speech. It began, “There is an abundance of fish in the sea, but tonight I would like to talk about wood…” He ended, “It is only natural that trees are growing and are made of wood. Quite often when we are talking about beauty, we are talking about wood.”

Amazing!

These deleted scenes formed an alternative film of their own, lasting around 90 minutes. I am a huge fan of the television show and the movie, so it was a real treat to be a part of the first public audience to view this new compilation, which will be available to the masses on July 29, 2014. The deleted scenes show us more of The Black Lodge, shed additional light on Laura Palmer’s illicit behavior, and contain more humorous moments in a style only David Lynch and the characters of his Twin Peaks are capable of.
