SIMONE FORTI’S DANCE CONSTRUCTIONS

In conjunction with the MOMA exhibition on Judson Dance Theater, performances of SIMONE FORTI DANCE CONSTRUCTIONS will continue at the museum through early next year.

“Made from inexpensive materials, including plywood and rope, each construction prompts actions such as climbing, leaning, standing or whistling. Simultaneously sculptures and performances, the works were first presented at Reuben Gallery and in Yoko Ono’s loft, both in New York City.”*

Works performed include ACCOMPANIMENT FOR LAMONTE’S 2 SOUNDS and LAMONTE’S 2 SOUNDS, CENSOR, HUDDLE, PLATFORMS, and SLANT BOARD.
