IMAGINACIÓN SOCIAL EN MÉXICO, 1968–2018

This is the final week to see LA DEMANDA INASUMIBLE—IMAGINACIÓN SOCIAL Y AUTOGESTIÓN GRÁFICA EN MÉXICO, 1968–2018, an exhibition in Puebla which looks at how the “graphic self-determination” of the student protests of 1968 have been consistently applied to social movements in Mexico in the years since.

The show “examines some of the most significant moments of denunciation and resistance in Mexico from 1968 to the present day, emphasizing the collective, anonymous, and appropriative nature that resides in them. Posters, fanzines, leaflets, patches, stencils, and digital flyers do not appear here as ‘pieces of a single author’ but as part of the field of social dissidence that produced them.”*
