Music and visual artist, “arch data manipulator” Ryoji Ikeda brings two programs to downtown Los Angeles this week: FORMULA [ver.2.3] (2000–) will be featured on opening night, and Program II will include C⁴ I (2004–).
DATAMATICS [ver.2.0] (2006–) will close out both nights.
Ikeda’s “highly charged kinetic environments… probe the essential characteristics of sound and light,” and “bridge the worlds of art and music, challenging fundamental preconceptions of both through the intensity of his installations.”*
