I met Robin Cameron many years ago when she was very involved in making artists’ books. Her artists’ books are sold at Printed Matter and are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art Library. It is lovely to see how her work has grown and matured. The exhibition “Who You,” features Cameron’s sculptures, prints, slides, and video, and is on view until June 29th at Room East in New York City. Cameron’s work has always had a personal and handmade touch. She is an artist who is interested in the purity of the medium and she works with form and color to produce intimate works that address issues of identity and personality. Cameron is still very involved in publishing, and in conjunction with the exhibition she made the book “Who You, I See” published by Room East & Hassla Books.
