“SUMMER INTERLUDE was my first film in which I felt I was functioning independently, with a style of my own, making a film all on my own.” — Ingmar Bergman
The worldwide celebration of Bergman’s centenary continues this month at the American Cinematheque.
Little-seen titles such as WAITING WOMEN and ALL THESE WOMEN will screen this weekend in Hollywood, and SUMMER INTERLUDE and A LESSON IN LOVE (later in May in Santa Monica) will play on double-bills with Bergman classics CRIES AND WHISPERS and WILD STRAWBERRIES.
