Re: Yellow Cabin Saturday Night Remittent Fever

Martin, Jonathan,

Thanks, I’m glad you like the poem but it doesn’t exist.
Unless it only consists in its title. I mean its name. Cause it didn’t get much further in my hands than a fucking name.

According to Wikipedia, it should refer to an equivocal yet acute disease:
variable fevers affecting primates, something to do with complexion, and confinement too,
and with Tony, in the movie, when he dances at 2001 Odyssey, in Bay Ridge, after his shift at the hardware store.

Its temperature fluctuates in the shape of tiny crenels, a bit above normal.

This poem doesn’t exist but it’s available.

Hope to catch up this winter,

Charles Veyron

ANTOINE PHILIPPON / JACQUELINE LECOQ

Last week I passed by Jousse entreprise gallery rue de Seine, and I discovered these two designers.
I was really impressed. Furnitures are functional, convenient and elegant in a minimal style.
Antoine Philippon began as a student of the Ecole Boulle and Jacqueline Lecoq attended L’Ecole nationale superieure des arts decoratifs. While they first met in 1954, their extraordinary collaboration would last until Philippon’s death in 1995.
Through the 1950s and 60s they presented regularly at the Salon des Art menagers and Salon des artistes decorateurs of which Philippon was president from 1970-72. They participated at the Expositions universelles de Bruxelles in 1958 and Montreal 1967, as well as collaborating on numerous commissions for the Mobilier national.
Here some pictures of their work.

Dries Van Noten final show, 2014

This week on the blog we visited Bex & Arts, a Contemporary Sculpture Triennal in Switzerland; saw Bertrand Bonello at Centre Pompidou; passed by Peter Lindbergh at Gagosian Paris and Yoko Uhoda Gallery in Liège to see a show curated by Christophe Daviet-Thery; and finally ended with Neïl Beloufa at ICA in London.

PETER LINDBERGH AT GAGOSIAN PARIS

Over the course of his career, Lindbergh has taken inspiration for his photography from modern dance, early German and East European cinema and photography, as well as his own personal history, resulting in a bold, elemental photographic language. With a minimum of artifice, spare styling, and openness to improvisation, he allows the innate character and natural beauty of his female subjects to emerge.
