Simon Schama—author of Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution and Rembrandt’s Eyes—will be at the Getty Villa this weekend to talk about the impact of color in art and architecture.

Schama “investigates how artists across time and borders used color to achieve greater realism, dazzling visual impact, and spiritual ecstasy.”*
